It’s Boxing day and was a day full with surprises, Let’s have a look of the Boxing day results.
Boxing day have always been a great day in Premiere League history. Today we had not so many goals but surprises did not missed. Leicester City late goal stopped Manchester United to secure the second place, Tuanzebe own goal gave Leicester a deserved draw in the 88 minute. And to be remmembered is the thriumph of Arsenal in the London derby after seven matches in the raw without a win in the Premiere League. Arsenal smashes the favourites Chelsea in a wonderful game in Emirates Stadium. To be noted is a missed penalty from Jorginho in extra time.
Meanwhile in Bramall Lane with a late goal from Sigurdsson Everton jumps in the second place in Premier League. Meanwhile Sheffield United sink down in the last place on the table still looking for the first win in the league. Manchester City is climbing in the table with the today win over Newcastle 2-0 with the goals from Gundagan and Torres. Outstanding performance from this year’s surprise Aston Villa with an amazing win over Crystal Palace in Villa Park 3-0 even if with a man down they were able to dominate the match and to score two other goals with 10 players on the pitch. Nothing interesting happens in Craven Cottage where Fulham and Southampton split a point on a game without many chances, a point very important for Fulham in the battle of salvation.
