Leicester ‘in advanced talks over new long term deal with Harvey Barnes’ in bid to ward off interest from Liverpool and Manchester United
Leicester are hoping to tie down Harvey Barnes to a new long-term contract amid links of a transfer to another big Premier League club.
The Foxes are ‘in advanced talks over a new deal,’ with Manchester United and Liverpool both keeping an eye on the midfielder, according to The Mirror.
The in-form midfielder has scored 13 goals and provided four assists in 34 games across all competitions this season.
And the 23-year-old was handed his England debut by Gareth Southgate in October.
Brendan Rodgers speaks high about the midfielder
‘He has been absolutely incredible,’ Rodgers said recently. ‘The great thing with Harvey is he is very coachable.
‘He is only going to get better. He is showing an intelligence in his game which we have always wanted.’
