Newcastle owners willing to spend ‘crazy money’ to beat Man Utd to Marcelo Brozovic move

NEWCASTLE UNITED have been linked with a move for Inter Milan playmaker Marcelo Brozovic ahead of the January transfer window.

Newcastle United are prepared to flaunt their newly-found riches to land Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic ahead of the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham, according to reports. The Magpies are widely expected to emerge as the Premier League’s major players in future transfer windows after their lucrative Saudi-backed takeover was finally completed last month.

However, it seems as though Newcastle may have the upper hand in the early stages of the race to secure Brozovic’s signature.

They are willing to pay ‘crazy money’ to nip ahead of United and Spurs by bringing the midfielder to St James’ Park, according to The Athletic.

It is claimed that Newcastle are desperate to land Brozovic in order to make a statement and usher in the club’s new era under their wealthy Saudi owners.

Despite this, the Croatian midfielder does not share the same level of enthusiasm given Newcastle’s current position at the foot of the Premier League table.
