Hakan Calhanoglu was a protagonist of Milan’s resurgence in 2020 and is almost certain to continue in that way.
As Calciomercato.com reports, Calhanoglu is and will be one of the richly intertwined stories of Milan’s game against Juventus tomorrow, with one eye on his performance in yet another big game and one eye on his future at the club.
Looking at the stats, Calhanoglu is now in the top five midfielders in Serie A in terms of shots on goal and in the top 10 in shots attempted, hitting the post five times. He has five assists to his name, is in the top 15 for successful passes and, above all, is 1st place overall for key passes, attempted and successful crosses and is in the top five for chances created.
His whose future is still to be written, and despite the fact he wishes to renew with Milan time is slipping away and he is now he is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with any club. The gap between offer and demand is still there even though the parties are working hard to close it.
Juventus are interested in the Turkey international, but will only be able to think about a swoop if there is no agreement between the parties.
